The Three Shortest Shows at Edinburgh Fringe 2024

I have not counted children's shows or shows that are only online. Additionally, these shows had to be listed on the EdFringe directory. Edinburgh Fringe 2024 is classically filled with one-hour-long shows, but not all of us have time to dedicate a whole hour to someone we've never heard of. Here is a way to dip your toe and experience something cool.

Lewis Major: Lien - 10 mins

Talk about a real Fringe-y show! This definitely feels like an awkward experience for probably the first half and then it gets really good. Edinburgh Fringe 2024 has been packed with one-on-one type Fringe shows (a future post ;) ).

From the description: "A new, one-on-one performance that embodies the beauty of human connection and the power of shared moments. In the gentle embrace of solitude, Lien emerges as a testament to community and empathy, born as an antidote to the distancing and isolation that has shaped our recent history. In this intimate exchange, one audience member and one dancer come together on an otherwise empty stage for a singular ten-minute encounter that will never be repeated. Lien reimagines shared performance as a deeply personal, spiritual event."

Possibly inspired by the A24 film (not sure) is another dance piece coming in at under 30 minutes!

From the description: "An ode to the macabre, a salute to your inner demons and a sacrifice for our audience. Join us in an exploration of femininity and the true nature of insanity through contemporary dance. Let our beauty awe you, let our movement leave you with shivers."
