Six Shows That Start At or After Midnight at Edinburgh Fringe 2024

Rob Duncan: The Basement Child

What looks like it could be a horror show, it actually labeled "clown, absurdist". Rob, part of the famous duo The Duncan Brothers, is back with his wild premised show.

From description: "For 40 years he has lived alone in a basement. Now he is accepting visitors, at midnight in the basement." Aug 4-5, 7-12, 14-19, 21-26

PBH's Free Fringe @ Banshee Labyrinth - Banquet Hall 00:00 - 01:00

Caravan Club And Its Not-Got-A-Mucky-Bum Star

After midnight is the time for absurdist character comedy, and this one looks not to disappoint! Anything with a pink leotard and 90s-esque star background is bound to be wild.

From the description:

"When disaster hits Blighty's biggest caravan club, can a total cow of a party dancer save the day? Missy's convinced she's got the talent. Missy Heavens is a real silly force of nature. Completely deluded, ofc. But Christ, will she do what it takes to put on a show. Expect dance moves, daft stories and mascot scraps."

Aug 7-26

Laughing Horse @ City Cafe - Hollywood

01:20 - 02:20

The Cruelty-Free Confessions of Hannah Blake

"The Cruelty-Free Confessions of Hannah Blake is a darkly comedic tale and vivid portrait of a vegan serial killer who fears that her daughter will inherit her horrific legacy. Part cooking demonstration, part fever dream, Hannah revisits her encounters with victims who still live vibrantly in her mind." What a premise! I should have known behind Beyond Burgers and Impossible Foods were a seedy underworld! Aug 20-27 Just the Tonic Nucleus - Just the Sub-Atomic Room 0:40 - 01:35

JONATHAN: By Order of the Peaky Grindrs

Sporting an excellent title and image of him as an action figure, this show is off to a great start! He is also turning 40 at the last date and will have a special show! From the description: "Remorsed, de-bedded, cried. Divorced, debted, survived. Join Jonathan as he hosts an hour of relatable hilarity. Hailing all the way." Aug 13-25 Just the Tonic at The Caves - Just the Wee One 00:10 - 01:10

10,000 Digits of Pi

"Because the set of numbers and audience-chosen punishments change between shows, every performance is different. Sagar doesn’t seem to play a character, and the audience is involved throughout. This is one of those shows that blurs the line between audience and performer, and makes you wonder if it’s a play or even a comedy show altogether." I have no idea what this show is about, and I love that. Not much I can say though! Aug 4-9, 12-16, 19-23, 26 PBH's Free Fringe @ Banshee Labyrinth - Chamber Room 01:30 - 02:30

Pineapple Princess

A fun character comedy, which reminds me of the great "Clementine" by Rosalie Minnet, the Lady in Victorian time searching for the one to share her fortune, with an after-midnight vibe. From the description: "One woman. One pineapple. A comedy show about falling in love. Join Lady Cordelia as she searches for The One. The One to finally share her enormous fortune and title with. She doesn't quite know what form The One may take. It could be a man, could be a woman. It could even be you. Or, it could be... a pineapple?"

Aug 3-19 Hoots @ Potterrow - Wee Yurt 00:15 - 01:15
