Gwyneth Goes Skiing - Review

Gwyneth battles in court, and musicals about it battle at Fringe!

Awkward Productions' Gwyneth Goes Skiing takes their signature style, found in their hit "Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story," of extensive audience participation and strong improvisation.

Finding an audience member to give a strong performance is no easy task, but Awkward always seems to pinpoint them exactly. They become the best and most memorable parts of the show!

It is marketed as a musical, but it really is a long play with pre-recorded music and vocals that the lead actor lip-syncs, which leads to excessive movements.

The show is much too long, causing fatigue in the last third, with a drawn-out courtroom scene that provides some laughs and some areas that fall flat.
